Leaf through to a new, improved home!

From boring bathrooms to beautiful bedrooms, DIY to double glazing, there are so many informative, helpful Home Improvement magazines on the market at the moment; it’s hard to know which to turn to.  Most are packed full of help and advice on style your home and there are many useful expert tips to consider.

Just a short list of the magazines around in the UK at the moment immediately reveals two or three different angles from which they are operating.  For example the B & Q magazine will obviously hope to promote shopping in its own store

The Homebase “Furniture” magazine offers a tie-in to an online store.  This style of magazine however, does offer interesting features on how to perk up your bathroom or a cost effective way of sprucing up your kitchen (using their products).

“Real Homes” magazine, the publication behind the “National Home Improvement Show” is a glossy multi-coloured magazine offering home improvement ideas, inside and out.  There’s advice on how “Not to fall prey to ‘rogue traders’ with your double glazing”, how to plan a Conservatory or extension and easy, summery DIY projects.  “Home-building and renovating” magazine offers advice on self-help renovations and builds.  It also offers help on how to install double glazing in period homes so that they are in keeping with the period of the house.  Other great publications to peruse include “Better homes and Gardens”, “Homes and Gardens” and “House and Garden” – the latter is from Conde Nast.

So many magazines, so little time – but be sure – just like painting a ceiling, home improvement is all about the preparation!
